Iowa is home sweet home to me

Jocelyn and I flew to Iowa on March 14. She got to see her granny and gramps again and meet her aunts, cousins and lots of extended family and dear friends.

Aunt Kim and Aunt Kari threw her a baby shower on March 17. Karina, in her four year old wisdom questioned granny about the baby shower. She asked granny why we were having a baby shower at the church when there aren't any showers there. She asked why they just didn't bring the babies to our house and give them a shower there.

Thank you to everyone who came to the shower and showered Jocelyn with the useful and adorable gifts! We appreciate your love and generosity so very much!!!

Sharon and Gary came over to meet Jocelyn. They bought her some adorable outfits. Including a bib dress.

She also met her Great Uncle Chuck, Great Aunt Lois, Great Aunt Pam, several other cousins and family friends.

We took a stroll across town to visit Great Uncle Chuck. He told me Jocelyn had too many names to remember so he just calls her Becky. She also me Great Uncle Darrel when he stopped by the house.

Wherever Jocelyn was, Karina was there too. She just couldn't get enough of her.

Sam was a lovey-dovey with Jocelyn. He didn't even mind when his mommy held her.

Staying true to my tradition of taking the kids to a park to do photos, Kim and I took all six of them to Q Pond for a photo session. I remember the first time I took them to Q Pond. It was just Austin, Nick and Kelli at the time. I don't think Kelli was much older than five years. It was cold and there was a foot or more of snow. Now, Kim has Karina and Sam and I have added Jocelyn to the mix. It was a fun time, a little windy, but fun nonetheless.
